Would you love to live at Rocky Corner but the timing isn’t right? Maybe you’re thinking about a year or two from now? Maybe you would love to rent at Rocky Corner. Maybe you live in the area and want to see how you like the community before committing to live in it.
Cohousing homes don’t come on the market often. The best time to buy a home is when a new community is being built, because that’s when homes are available. The long lead time to build cohousing means that if you want to live in cohousing in Connecticut, it may be several years before the opportunity arises again.
Once the remaining few homes at Rocky Corner are sold, that’s the situation you’ll be in.
So here are some ways to move forward:
- Buy one of the remaining homes now, and rent it out until you’re ready to move. We can help make that happen, because we have a list of people who don’t have the resources to buy but would love to rent. This can be a win-win.
- Pool your resources with others to buy a homes as an investment now, for rental income, and either buy out your partners when you’re ready to move or take over the lease from your tenant and continue to rent from your partners.
- If you are hesitating to buy for financial reasons and would be glad to move in as a tenant, let us know so we can match you with an owner.
- If you live in the area and want to get to know us better, become an associate member.
We’d love to talk with you about your situation and your needs.
